“Noras Ark” har fått en kjempefin anmeldelse etter premieren på TIFF 19.-25. januar. Også målgruppa har tatt godt imot i filmen, som har vært vist på DKS-turné i Harstad.

“Fortellingen er en smart og oppfinnsom vri på fabelen om Noahs ark fra perspektivet til datteren Nora,” skriver filmkritiker Aleksander Huser på Arktisk Film Norges hjemmeside. Han mener filmen har “et visuelt uttrykk med et særegent, håndlaget preg av høy kvalitet på figurer og bakgrunner.”
“Noras ark rommer et nokså rikt univers med mange ulike skapninger, som i likhet med den godt fortalte historien burde appellere sterkt til den unge målgruppa.”
Han trekker fram musikksporet av komponist Herman Rundberg, “som akkompagnerer fortellingen med fine og passende toner.”
Og avslutter: “Noras Ark er en medrivende, sjarmerende og høyst vellaget animasjonsfilm, som samler sine tematiske tråder elegant i en akkurat passe rørende avslutning.”
TATT GODT I MOT AV MÅLGRUPPA
Allerede mandag etter festivalen, startet regissør Endre Lund Eriksens første turné gjennom Den Kulturelle Skolesekken. I løpet av uka har nærmere 500 skoleelever i 5.-7.klasse sett forestillingen, der Endre leser og forteller fra boka og viser filmen.
Tilbakemeldingene er veldig gode. Barna lar seg rive med av filmen, og blir engasjerte i historien om Nora som må redde insektene på sin egen båt når pappa Noa nekter henne å ta dem med på sin Ark. De ler, blir spente, og glade når alt går bra til slutt.
I løpet av forestillingen snakker Endre med barna om klimaendringer, og insektenes betyning i økosystemet.
Endre skal på flere DKS-turneer landet rundt i løpet av det neste året. Han skal også reise med et opplegg som handler om hvordan man lager film, og animasjonsfilm spesielt.

EXCELLENT REVIEW AND AUDIENCE RESPONSE
“Nora’s Ark” has received an excellent review following its premiere at TIFF, January 19–25. The target audience has also responded very positively to the film, which has been shown on a DKS tour in Harstad.
“The story is a clever and inventive twist on the fable of Noah’s Ark from the perspective of the daughter Nora,” writes film critic Aleksander Huser on the Arktisk Film Norge website. He believes the film has “a visual expression with a distinctive, handcrafted quality in both characters and backgrounds.”
“Nora’s Ark contains a fairly rich universe with many different creatures, which, along with the well‑told story, should strongly appeal to the young target audience.”
He highlights the musical score by composer Herman Rundberg, “which accompanies the story with fine and fitting tones.”
And he concludes: “Nora’s Ark is an engaging, charming, and very well‑crafted animated film that ties its thematic threads together elegantly in an ending that is just the right amount of moving.”

WELL RECEIVED BY THE TARGET AUDIENCE
Already on the Monday after the festival, director Endre Lund Eriksen began his first tour through Den Kulturelle Skolesekken (The Cultural Schoolbag). During the week, nearly 500 pupils in grades 5–7 watched the presentation, where Endre reads and tells from the book and screens the film.
The feedback has been very positive. The children are swept up by the film and become engaged in the story of Nora, who must save the insects on her own boat when her father Noah refuses to let her bring them onto his Ark. They laugh, get excited, and are delighted when everything turns out well in the end.
During the presentation, Endre talks with the children about climate change and the importance of insects in the ecosystem.
Endre will go on several more DKS tours around the country over the next year. He will also travel with a program focused on how films are made, with a particular emphasis on animation.
